Big night ahead, throwing a Margherita pizza on the grill for tonight’s Rams preseason tune-up with Dallas. Really excited about this year’s team and our ‘new’ attitude. Not exactly expecting the playoffs, but I like us to win about 6 games….have to keep Shotgun Sam healthy.
Last night high school football started. Can’t believe I’m saying that in August, but it’s true. Our hometown Oakville Tigers lost 10-9 in their home opener. My daughter, Sabrina, has made the Golden Girls dance team and they performed at halftime. She was spot-on incredible, as usual, and I’m assuming the rest of the squad did well too. Not sure because my eyes were riveted on lil’ Rosie!
So Apple wins their court case vs. Samsung and they were awarded the cool sum of $1 BILLION (can you see Dr. Evil too?)!!! I’m sure appeals will be heard and it figures that Samsung won’t pay anything out of pocket for about a year, but in looking at the technology they have in place, it’s alarming how similar to Apple they have become. The jury saw it the same way, hence the penalty. This should reinforce Apple’s dominance for being ‘cool’.
Tropical Storm Isaac is moving into the Keys. Although it appears the convection will barely reach Category 1, it will still pack a bit of a punch. Here are a couple pics from the ‘festivities’.
